Haiku Film – Save A Life

Don’t shoot when you’re mad.

Write feelings down in poems.

Save a life – Haiku.

I hope you enjoyed my 12 second microfilm! I’m now offering the gun pen with my original handwritten haiku, Save A Life, for $5.95 (includes free U.S. Shipping). Proceeds will go to SMM – Slasher Monster MagazineΒ to help support the cash prizes and gift cards we give away quarterly.

Contact us at slashermonstersubmissions@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Rose

  1. Surprizing (and timely) use of the weirdest novelty pen I have seen.

The old saw about counting to 10 before acting on anger grew stale with repetition. U have made the basic idea fresh again, and deeper than before. Don’t just count: create.

  2. I love this clip (& Poem)…. Brilliant….
By the way… I am telling something I saw online: an idea, which is to create haikus with titles of books and then you might take a photograph and share it on Instagram or Twitter.
In Spanish Haikus are 3 verses of 5-7- 5 syllabes, respectively.-… You can also create tankas which have 5 verses of 5-7-5-77 syllabes respectively.
So far I found one among my books (didnΒ΄t look too much, anyway). This is the photograph I shared on Twitter: https://twitter.com/aquileana/status/875775780038594561
    The example translates to
    “Below the volcano
    The eternal moment
    game over”.
I find hard to count syllabes in English as Spanish is my first language. Maybe you can give it a try. Even viist a local bookstore and have some fun. I just loved this challenge so wanted to share it with you. Hugs πŸ˜‰
