For the want of food,
she stole a bright red apple.
Twelve lashes cut skin.
π π
Thief. She was cast out
and did walk a lonely life,
for the want of food.
π π
Famished appetite
not restricted in her gut.
The heart, too, craved things.
π π
Alone in her head –
conversations with herself.
Wanting drove her mad.
π π
She fell on a blade.
Smiled as she bled, for there are
no wants when youβre dead.

Frost beanies rock just as much as meteorite ones! π You’re right; they don’t melt and are always cool. You’re a fabulous designer. I’d say, “Hats off to you, but I want to keep my beanie on! Lol.

Very powerful and intense collaborative poetry, Rose! I enjoyed the drama of the last line, but couldn’t help thinking that if she died, she’d be missing out on a beanie. π

Adorable haiku, and very real, the things that drive us a silent despair and the liberating peace a sudden death can give. I think if first time I am conscious of a benie hat (surely I have seen them in movies) it looks nice and exotic to my eyes, as the ones of pirates from tales (the real ones as the Somali pirates probably have adidas xD)

Very true words. Ha! Yes, beanie hats are also known as skull caps since they hug your head so tightly; like a second skin. Lol. Watch out for Somali pirates π
