You open your mouth –
part-time slaves, part-time masters
emerge–all your words.
My tongue finds each one.
I taste and roll them around –
swallow verbs and nouns.
Let’s fill to bursting
my giant dictionary
with your new entries.
Commingling, melding,
fumbling into each other.
No sentence structure.
Words in disarray.
We scatter Scrabble letters.
Every night, we play.
Wow. Awesome job, you guys.

Lol! Better the exclamation mark than parenthesis — those jokers would keep your finger imprisoned! 😀

These turned out very well, I think! I wasn’t sure my contribution was up to snuff, but they do work together quite nicely. Yours especially.
Here’s to another year of writing!

Are you kidding me? I love your haiku poems and where they took me — I felt both naughty and brainy writing them 😀
Yes, another year of writing, indeed! Never hesitate if you’d like to send me work for my blog or SMM.

Don’t swallow too many verbs or nouns…bad things can happen.
Have a sparkling New Year!

I heard that swallowing too many verbs or nouns can cause someone to get laryngitis! The words simply dissolve and can’t be spoken.
My New Year will be sparkling as I work with you — my favorite blog bro! 🙂 xo

Good stuff! I’m impressed how well you two can work together on your haiku. It’s like a game of tennis, only with Scrabble tiles. (Hmm… I think I may have to work on my similes.)

Haha! Well, we did volley our words back and forth, so your simile was pretty accurate that way 😀 Thanks BunK, my favorite bag headed pal.
