In the storm, birds soared.
They devoured cumulus clouds –
hungry for the thrill.

  1. Enchanting! It makes me appreciate the bravery of some birds, to see them flutter through the natural elements with such delicate ferocity. I wonder if some of them are just showing off and the others follow along so they won’t be made fun of later πŸ™‚ I loved the poetry. Stormy is my favorite kind of weather.

  3. I like your haiku, Rose. It’s moody and dramatic. I guess after the birds have finished with those massive cumulus clouds, they can have a few of those whispy cirrus ones for dessert. πŸ™‚
