You toy with my heart.
It becomes a Rubik’s cube –
Scrambled and twisted.

The heart is the first thing to be messed with
As love becomes the toy

Perfectly stated! Thanks Sheldon. xo
Great haiku, Unfortunately the picture of the Rubik’s cube is going to give me nightmares. 😉
Thanks Oggy! Oh, come on now — do tell me why Rubik cubes give you nightmares!!

Couldn’t figure it out as a kid. Drove me insane. And then I got another this Christmas. I think I’ll spray paint it.
Lmao! Or just blow it apart — 💣💣💣
I was actually going to say use it for target practice but thought that would be politically incorrect, but since you said it first, I’m in the clear. 🙂
LMAO! I LOVE being politically incorrect! Cheers to being assholes — 🍺 🍻 🍷 🍸 🍹
Cheers to my sister in arms! 🙂
🔫 💣 🔪 🗡 ⚔ You betcha, baby! 😀
I will make eggs.
Then I will dance Charleston.
Make twist & shout
Like Beatles screaming teenage girls
From 60’s my six faces.
You’re brilliant in all your nonsensical poetry, my love. Never a dull moment with you 🙂
You only too kind to me make blush. I make however only sense all time: you say to poem “scrambled” so I only say to make “eggs.” You say to poem “twisted” so I only to say make dance, you know, like Charleston dance. So I think who dance? With Beatles, like that. Erno Rubik who make “toy” from Hungary and cube like poem to have six side or as you call too “faces” like cube. So you see, all good sense. Koszonom szepen (“Kedves” mean “dear” in Hungarian like “Dear” to English letter.) Thank you.You so kind.
You perform at a much higher intellect than I do! I read “Kedves” to mean being kind or nice… so my interpretation of your words were the things that you enjoyed doing. Interesting to get the real meaning and how much it all really is connected to my poem. Nicely done. Thanks again 🙂
That’s exactly what “kedves” does mean! Really, I’m just at best a holy fool.
I wouldn’t necessarily call you “holy” nor would I call you a “fool.” Lol. You entertain me to no end, though! I enjoy the randomness of your posts, and when I think you’re just spouting silliness, I read more closely, and you actually make a lot more sense than others.
thanks, in all earnestness, i really do appreciate and am grateful for the time and care you do give my little pieces
Very cool, T! Thank you. ❤
That’s such a… used heart. I hope the hands are from somebody skilled to leave it in perfect colors
I suck at Rubik’s cubes. I got one for Christmas and that inspired this haiku. Have you ever solved a Rubik’s cube?
I tried, I know I could search online tutorials but I’d love to get it by myself .-.
Perhaps one day, you’ll be solving it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I, on the other hand, have given up! Lol.
haha, ikr! I need to buy one again before xp
💸 💸 💸
You can consult Will Smith (Pursuit of Happyness), He’ll help you unscramble it…No one will dare to toy with your heart again…Haha.
Jokes apart. you write so well.
I’ll check out that movie — I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Aw, thanks Mann! I’ll be visiting your blog soon… been out of the loop cuz of Christmas and all. 🙂
Worth watching…very inspiring and touching. Hope you had a dazzling Christmas. 🙂
Ok, I will! I did have a dazzling Christmas — almost always a lovely time with friends and family. Hope you did, too! ❤
Though I follow a different religion, that never stops me from celebrating. Yes I had lovely Christmas. You can read my latest post for that. *smiles*
Sorry! I didn’t mean to generalize!! I’ll read your latest post tonight 🙂
No need to be sorry. I am liberal.
I can solve it. Send it to me and I’ll post it back to you complete, sans dynamite!
Don’t send me a heart though – I can’t solve them!
No heart, either? Sheesh, you’re pushy!
I know my limits. Logic-based puzzles: tick. Organs with symbolic emotional significance: cross (and sad face).
You can do anything. You can also fly.
Really? All right, then. No dynamite, I promise. 🙂
A wonderful Haiku.
Happy Christmas Rose. 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you, Alan! Merry Christmas!! ⛄️❄️
I really like this haiku. It plays with my mind in a fun and teasing manner. Since the title has the word “toy” in it, I read this as a light hearted bantering type of heart play; the type more relationships could benefit from. Well done!
I hope you got some fun toys for Christmas! Thank you very much. 🎄
Puzzling haiku! Haha — get it? Okay. I’ll stop.
Pretty clever! 🙂
That’s a nice metaphor for the puzzling mixture of emotions love brings. I’m afraid to mention I was so bad at Rubik’s cubes as a child, I used to pull them apart and then secretly put all the pieces together again in the correct place when no one was looking. I didn’t actually lie and tell people I’d solved the puzzle. I merely walked around with the completed puzzle clearly visible in my hands and let them draw their own conclusions.
Well, at least you never lied about it! haha!! Aw, you’re so cute.
Yep, no lies.
Die sind gut lasse mal liebe Grüße hier Gruß Gislinde
Some relationships do that to our brains as well.
Rubik cubes are like non-electronic, Simons which is.
I had a Rubik’s Cube long ago. Never managed to solve it; never understood the mechanism inside either. Knew a few people who could solve them.
Hmm. I thought you of all people would have been able to solve a Rubik’s. I don’t feel so dumb anymore. 😃
When your heart is a puzzle, game turns dangerous 😉
I though I’d go back and check on some unread stuff ❤
