Standing in the shadows,
he watched the lights of her tree-
blinking red, white and green.
Ah, if only he could say he was sorry!
You’re a beast, she had cried
in the middle of the night.
Her face scrunched up in disgust while
he shrank away from her sight.
And now he stood outside,
not quite the man she had once knew –
perhaps a bit scarier
and much, much hairier.

I love werewolves! This guy, though, kept it a secret. Can you imagine what the poor girl went through when he turned? Not a good thing! 😳

Well, ok, you’ve got a point. He could’ve checked the almanac to make note of when full moons happen, so he doesn’t turn in front of her, at least. That would be the smart thing to do!
Hey, I love werewolves! They’ve been fine inspirations for my poetry. I just make sure I write about them behind padlocked doors; especially during full moon! 🌝⭐️⭐️💝

Aw, I feel sorry for him. It’s not his fault that the Moon turns him into a frenzied, bloodthirsty killer. I don’t feel sorry enough for him to suggest that she lets him in, though.
