She tenderly kissed the lips that loved her beyond words and more beautifully than song. Those lips were now cold and silent.
Iβll follow you into the darkness, she vowed. We can shine there together.
Clutching the dagger to her chest, Juliet pierced her heart; succumbing gladly into the night.
(The tragic play, Romeo and Juliet, was written by William Shakespeare)

I forgot to ask you — was your gorgeous photo of Venus (above) enhanced at all? The colors are amazing!

Yes –all of my images are post-processed. I took this photograph a few years ago: the color saturation was increased and so was the contrast. I think the trees were also sharpened. That’s about it.

I am not convinced this speaks of sadness. How blessed with LOVE is an individual that may experience this level of passion and commitment and an absolute desire to carry it “willfully” to eternity? We may classify the act of suicide a tragedy, but is this a fair assessment without understanding the undertones that lead to this decision?
Regardless, the poem is a beautiful piece that reaches deep into the heart of the reader. β€

You are a poet and a gentleman, darling Jonathan! You use words as skillfully as a surgeon would use a scalpel. You always get to the heart of my writing. Thank you very much. ππ

Knowing Juliet, she’d probably cut her wings off and jump! π

haha, well… I’d want a love like that, an angel that would prefer me instead her wings. I’d buy that for a dollar, ok no!:v

Lol! I’m sure any angel, even without wings, would still soar quite high with a guy like you, Francis. π π π ππ π π π

Aw, poor young things. I didn’t know where this story was going until the last sentence. I should have been more perceptive given that I had to study Romeo and Juliet at high school. π

Yes, and I remember everything I studied in high school, too! π The idea of the story was for you not to guess what it was about until the last sentence, so mission accomplished! Yippee!! π

I told WP that I want to follow my own blog and then, after navigating to the place for managing followed blogs, I told it to send me e-mails about comments on my blog. I get some near-duplicate e-mails but am less likely to miss a comment. Of course it can still happen. Murphy rules!
