Stubbles on your chin.
Come rub them against my skin.
Rough love, yet soft heart.

That was brilliant as well
Ever since you found out how to post pics and gifs on the comment sections, I’ve noticed you’ve been sweeter than usual! Thank you!! xo

Clever! I love the imagery of your words. No wonder your blog is one I look forward to reading! Thank you 🍁🍂🌾
The title of the haiku set me up — in a good way — letting my assumptions assume what words might follow. Because the haiku’s ending arrives so quickly, the residue of the assumptions remain and mix with the new sentiment arising from the piece. Delightful.
I so enjoy reading your comments! The way you explain how a particular poem or story made you feel is poetry in itself! Thanks much, Doug. 🌷
Me? Oh! I use an electric shaver — glad you asked — razors quake my spine. Yeah.
When I get a notice that you’ve left a comment, I usually have to take a deep breath before reading it. Lol. I never know what to expect! Um, okay, we’ll keep razors away from you then. 😜
A super Haiku. 👍
Burn, baby burn!
Well, you keep doing it, don’t you? You really are very good at these. I wish I could write poetry, but whenever I try, they always seem to come out, “There once was a man from Nantucket.”
I love poems about guys from Nantucket! Knowing you, you’d put your own spin to it. Thanks BunK! xo
Having inherited my father’s unwanted ability to grow coarse stubble within an hour of having shaved, I long ago decided to grow a beard. It’s scraggly but soft.
Hmm. I do like running my fingers over facial hair on a man but not after he’s eaten breakfast! Eggs and bacon are usually found on my fingertips afterwards 😀
No problem. I eat WW bagels & fruit for breakfast. 🙂
