A daughter was born.
No cries. No hugs. Sadness deep.
Mom and babe asleep.

Post is very dark, but Coffin Birth is something that used to happen more often in the past, and why not give the subjects some acknowledgement?
Beautiful poetry Rose … Sad but beautiful
Thank you, darling D! xo
You are not a poet; you are a poet-warrior; I’m not trying to be trite or flattering, just showing some respect. It takes a lot to write something like this.

Poet-warrior? Hmm, I can get used to that! I’m glad you’re not being trite, Oggy 🙂
You are the second person in 2 days that there button have disappeared. No more pushing Rummager’s button lol Poetry is always witty when you hold a pen to it. How did he or she Thumbup insert a gif let alone a photo in comments to you??????? Help me now .
Gifs are easy to install…it has to do with page source. Here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-install-an-animated-script-on-a-gif
Can you do still pictures?
I think so but have never done pics; just gifs in comment section. You can try googling it.
I would think just the URL inserted in the comment could do the trick as well as video. I’m on a mission lol
You can do it with pics. Get the URL of the pic insert it in the comment box and click on post comment. Picture will appear. Will report on videos next. This maverick is going to town.
Oh, yeah, I did post a video on Flytrapman’s blog; forgot! Thanks for all your experimenting on my poor blog. Lol.
You’re welcome. Do I get an A lol
I feel warm and gushy inside now. Aww!
Video is boxy but still plays good. Add video URl and voila a video appears lol
It’s a she.
You can reinstate your like button. I think in the settings I think
Got it! Thanks! 🙂
I mean no offense, because in Peru we have a quite dark humor, but I cannot avoid to think in a joke… Joseph (Jesus’ father) is crying in a corner of the city and his friends ask him “Are you ok? Why are you crying?”, then he replies “It’s my wife, she just gave birth”, and they were confused so they say “Then, why the sadness?” and he says “because I wanted a girl!” xP

That’s funny and may very well have happened — who knows, right? Lol. Loved that!! Thank you 😀
Thank to you for your sensible words, they carry a heavy emotional weight!
I had to follow the link to find out what a coffin birth was. I’m not sure anyone could do a much better job of writing a haiku about such a sad topic. I’m doubt any approach other than pathos is really appropriate.
I enjoy the different facets that make you unique — your humor is untoppable (believe me I’ve tried with hardly a dent) and then there’s the deep, almost philosophical BunK that comes out once in awhile when we’re lucky to catch a glimpse of it. Thank you; I’ve always placed your opinion in high regards. xo
Thank you. That’s a wonderful compliment. Hmm… Oh gosh, what should I say next? I not sure whether to go for something funny or something deep. Probably the safest bet is just to thank you sincerely once again and then slip quietly out the back.
What?! Who wrote that? Doesn’t even sound like me! Oh yeah; I was a bit buzzed yesterday. 😀
Ah-ha! I thought so! Funnily enough, another blogger mentioned grape jam to me earlier today. I’m very interested to know if it a) really exists and b) is alcoholic. I think it has potential as a way of making my breakfast both more enjoyable and a better preparation for my job. Anyway, just a thought.
Are you sure it wasn’t grape jelly — as in jelly shots?
Oh, could have been. 😀
Hey, hi there! I always think it’s better for the recently buried to use a cheery hand like this rather than a smile. I mean, everybody likes a friendly wave, but nobody likes to see a grave face. 🙂
Wonderful and very sad. 😢
Thank you, Alan. I’ll dry your tears later 🙂
Because of your wonderful 50 word Flash fiction, I posted my first attempt yesterday.
Thank you Rose. 😎😎😎
One of the powerful facets of this is that there is very little pushing the grief at the reader, it softly flows over so as to almost not be noticed, but it almost, for the grief sinks it, all the more intensely
Your way with words shows what a true talent you are….I can snuggle quite nicely in your phrases. Thank you, Doug!
So sad and yet so beautiful.
Thank you, Mel. 😘
