The moon tumbled down.
Its string snapped by space debris.
Stars reached out. Too late.

That’s really good 🙂

Thank you, Sir Richard! I’ll treasure your kind words – coming from you; a writer I very much admire. xo, Rose
My pleasure, Rose 🙂
The moon broke!
Yep, you’re right – it also has no money!
LOL! A broke moon!
Poor moon! It’s broke!! 😀
As per usual well done.
Thank you, Apollo! 🌖🌗🌘
Poor thing. I read in somebody’s blog recently (I’ve forgotten whose) that a significant proportion of shooting stars are actually bits of astronaut poo burning up on re-entry into the atmosphere. Maybe the Moon just wasn’t that keen on certain stars getting anywhere near it.
That makes a lot of sense! Poo is quite combustible. I’m glad you’re here to give us all lessons in intellect. Well done, BunK 😀
I was a bit sad to hear about it, to be honest, because I like shooting stars. On the other hand, it did explain a lot about my wishes.
Have you been watching “Gravity”? (Coincidentally, poo again.)
My next haiku will be on poo. Lol. You never know with my twisted mind! I don’t really watch tv. So Gravity has a lot of poo references? Maybe I should start watching it then! 😀
No! My haiku today is all about poo!
Mind you, poo has much to do with gravity! ha ha
P.S. I have a new post on Poetikat Unbound too.
The stars are never on time. Figures…why couldn’t they reach out just a litttttttle earlier?
**Interesting Fact** The ISS has to keep its windows clean due to space debris orbiting Earth.
**Another Interesting Fact ** The moon is actually tumbling toward Earth, but it’s orbital speed keeps it from colliding.
Damn those late stars making punctual astronauts angry! Lol.
Hmm. Fascinating…so what happens if space debris is crashing towards the space station? Do they have any way to outmaneuver it?
I suppose if the ISS has enough time — sure — it could change altitude. It’s the little stuff that causes major problems: a bolt whipping around Earth will hit you like a rifle bullet.
That makes sense. Have you always been interested in astronomy?
Sort of — my interest began around 1996…I think I was around 11 years old.
That is a long time! Ah, to be 30 again! No wonder you know all the stuff you do!
How did you know how old I was?…wait. Nevermind.
Wasn’t that when the Space Shuttle exploded — 1996?
Challenger? I think that was around 1985-1986 — I’m not sure exactly. Definitely before 1988.
You’re right 1986!
Beautiful & tragic, yes! Thank you.
