Make the rain
touch his soul.
Water down
the anger.
Thunder booms
in the skies
where the dark
filters out
any light.
Falling drops
find his heart.
Simmer down
the monster.
*I had a dream about my dad last night. I can’t remember the particulars. I just remember he was there. My father had anger issues, but when he told his jokes and laughed, the clouds would clear, and it would be warm again.

This one got me good, right upside the head and in the heart. Great.

Yes, our fathers might have gotten along well. Thank you! ☔️⚡️☁️

You know, I almost said that. But they might have also beaten one another senseless; and then they’d gotten along well afterwards; your dad sounds like he was a good man.

Lmao! You’re probably right. He was a good man, Oggy! It was hard getting close to him, but he was an incredible provider, faithful husband to mom and had such a wit that would slice anyone in half (very, very sharp!)….I could go on and on. I still miss him; I think that never leaves. From your stories, I can tell your dad was a good man, as well. Thank you so much! xo

A parent’s anger can be very scary, especially for small kids. Sometimes crying just makes things worse. I guess it depends on the person.

My dad was always swift with his justice, and it didn’t matter whether we cried or not. Thank you for visiting ☔️☺️

Majorly. He wasn’t when I was taking care of him on his death bed mind you I think the morphine made him humourous.
