There they go, spiraling down merrily on a final journey to the ground. I can almost hear them shouting “Whee!”
I like the big piles of leaves in September and October. I always want to jump in them (though nowadays I seldom do).
That’s sweet, BunK! Who wouldn’t say “whee” on the way to the ground?
Just give into your inner child and jump into the pile!
I’ll have to go looking for some in a couple of weeks once the leaf piles are really high. 😀
Perhaps you can use your bag to save some leaves, so you can make a wreath or something?
If I’m not careful, I may soon have to use one to commemorate my dearly departed waistline.

Death may well be claiming the leaves, but Winter’s small children will soon be visiting. 🙂
Hello! I love your poem! Thank you for your gift❄️⛄️❄️
The leaves in New England are starting to twirl and dance, which means the winter constellations are on their way. Lucky me. Clever haiku!
Thank you, Fly! Must be lovely! Happy for you and your camera. There’s a sweet side to you, after all😃
Sweet like cinnamon!
Nice danse macabre of autumn ☺
Thank you Francis! I hope your back is better?
Oh, yes, it was a bad chair that it was bothering me but I’m again in my lair and walking and everything. Thank you!
I don’t like bad chairs. They need to be slapped once in awhile, then they’re good again. Lol.
haha, a chair slap!? XD
haha! Not too hard; just to let it know who’s the boss.
Great haiku. The image is stunning.
Thank you, sir! How is autumn in Ireland?
I’m in the States at the moment.Going back soon.
Ah, that’s right; you love traveling. Bon Voyage Oggy✈️
You should say it like “Bon voyagee,” like Bugs Bunny. Not proper French, but funnier.
Bon voyagee, doc!🐰 There. Happy now? 😊
That sounded kind of angry…
Angry? Don’t you see me smiling at the end of the sentence?
I don’t know what any of that stuff means! You know me well enough to know that by now. But I’m glad you were smiling; now I’m laughing at myself. If you’ve got a minute, go read my latest dumbass post; I think I may have got the story tags right, thanks to you.
Oh, yeah, dumb of me to even ask! It’s not a re-blog, is it? I want to read something YOU wrote. And no, there’s no angry tone here. I’ll also read it when I get back. We’re seeing that new Shylaman movie, The Visit. Have to leave in a few mins.
Not a re-blog. Enjoy the film.
Thanks! Will read late tonight. Yay…glad it’s not a re-blog!!
